Shenanigans in the Schengen Zone

2 min read
If you are thinking about running away to Europe, do it. Even if you don’t have a visa, I am here to tell you it’s okay necessary.

If you are anything like me, holding down the fort in my home town in Washington State just wasn’t going to cut it. I straight up ran away to Europe with intentions of coming back 2 months later…and ended up technically staying 5 years. This was all without a work visa, and I survived to tell you about it.

Have I had close encounters with the law? Yes. With Interpol? Not if you don’t count that cute officer on vacation in Greece.

I think people these days need to take a chill pill when it comes into rushing into jobs, buying a house, an animal, and getting married to get that shiny bling. It’s like…where you going? I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a fan-fill in the blank-tastic adventure these past couple of years. What, may you ask?

From up here the lights looked like a thousand miles of fire.
Fell in love in a hopeless place
Walked barefoot everyday
Explored random cities
Was Kevin Sorbo’s girlfriend in a movie
Frolicked in the fields of a 700 year old Swedish church
Drank Cristal on a yacht in Greece
Lived in a million dollar house in Mykonos, Greece
Had more shot duels in different countries than  money in my bank
Cheered on Karpats in Finland

I couldn’t have done any of this and thousands of other moments without taking a chance.
One day we will be old. Think of all the stories you could tell. So go out and write them.

Travel this summer!
