Queen of Mykonos

2 min read
It is now 2 days until I depart to my home away from home. I have quite the adventure, as I do almost every year when I travel to the homeland of the ancients.

It will take a total of 32 hours to get from one side of the globe (Seattle) to the other (Athens). Of course this is with a few layovers and one unwanted night of slumber in Milan.

According to Australia, I am a superstar. Well…that term obviously to heavy for what it’s worth, but the trailers for the movie that I participated in this past fall is hitting the internet kingdom and soon theaters all over Australia, Greece and..probably not America.

“The Kings of Mykonos,” or Wog Boy 2, if you are Australian or just want to make the movie sound less than it is. For those of you Americans reading this, Wog Boy is Australia’s cult movie version of Kevin Smith’s Clerks.

I am excited for this video because A) this is my home. B) The extras in the movie are my family. I can be seen as the blonde at 15 seconds and as I like to say “the camera is literally sitting on my stomach” shot at 22 seconds. The teaser trailer goes a little something like this:

The experience working on the film was very interesting. Many of my friends were still left on the island, therefore we had nothing else to do but participate. Although, after a long, stressful and exhausting summer, it was like another job for all of us. For those of us not from Australia, this movie looked like an utter joke. “What is this shit we are in?” My highly sarcastic friend said with her stuffy English accent.

In the end, it was a very fun experience for all of us. I met some foreign celebs like Nick Giannopolous and Vince Colosimo..but most importantly, I met my d hero…

HERCULES! I played one of Kevin Sorbo’s 5 girlfriends, and it was so exciting because well…I was the only one that spoke English and I was American.

Although I was not an official movie star, I have many close up scenes that will make my theatre major from Washington State University proud, but I was happy to be apart of something that documents my life and the people I have met over the past three years.
Here is the official full length trailer! I hope it makes you all want to come visit me this time! Yamas!
