Horoscopes and New Horizons

I had a dream last night.
A dream full of adventure and old friends. I was walking in dense woods with a group of 15 friends, and a trail guide. We came to a large lake that was so reflective, even a local animal would be confused which way was up and which was down.

Across the lake, there is an old, board rope-bridge that unrealistically stretches across the lake. It is raised about a mile off the lake, a swinging lightly in the breeze.
Our group decided to attempt to cross the bridge at dusk. I thought this was a bad idea. We set up our tents on one side of the bridge, making our beds ready for a night’s rest. I, however, did not find it important to set up my bed.
Then, we began to cross the bridge. The bridge swang and groaned, trying it’s best to hold itself together. Then, all of a sudden I was being lifted up, high above the bridge. I looked to my left and one of my childhood friends, who is currently down in Brazil, was to my side.
“Lisa! What are we doing?” I screamed as I realized if we fell, it was over.
“Just hold on Linds..” she said with a confident smile.

All of a sudden, whatever was holding us 1,000 or so feet above the bridge, let go and we swung from left to right at a high speed. We missed the bridge and somehow safely landed in the water. I was so angry that I crawled onto the shore, under the bridge. The bridge suddenly resembled that of what a freeway overpass would look like if you sat under it. I layed down on the small pebbled shore, gasping for breathe, rocks filling my mouth. I opened my eyes and found flashlights moving towards me. It was night time, and people were looking for me.

“Lindsey? Where have you been? Are you okay?”
“Did you not see me raise up off the bridge?” I asked, acting hurt and confused.
“No…you just disappeared..”

That is when I woke up.

I decided to go online and do a little bit of dream research. I went to the best website I knew, Dream Dictionary, and looked up bridge. Here is what I found:

“To dream that you are crossing a bridge, signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change filled with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage. Alternatively, the bridge may indicate that you are trying to “bridge” or connect two things together. To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.”

It is weird that this dream happened one week before I am to leave for Greece. I have made the decision to move there for 6 months to figure out what I want to do with my life, and to see how my relationship will blossom with my Greek boyfriend. So I am guessing the two things I am trying to connect is my life now and my future self. This is definitely still a transitional period in my life that I am very excited about.

I guess dreams really do come true.
